Interior tips that are outdated
Interior fashion is changeable, but still not as fast as many people think. Yesterday’s trends flow very smoothly and logically into today’s and follow not only international trends in furniture and architecture design, but also specific world events.
Undoubtedly, trends from the 2000s are still used by some designers in the design of residential space. This does not always lead to the fact that the interior looks outdated or ugly, but most often it is undesirable. Today we will tell you about five of them and explain why they were created and why they are outdated.
COLOR IN THE BEDROOM INTERIOR: HOW TO WORK WITH IT?
There is no forbidden color scheme for the bedroom, the main thing is to properly dispose of it.
Bright stretch and suspended ceilings
When the technology of stretch and suspended ceilings only came to us in the interiors of the 90’s with “European renovation”, interesting variations of different shapes and sizes, colors and their combinations were not long in coming. Yes, it was interesting, fashionable and even looked expensive for a certain time. But it was about 20(!) years ago, and now orange ceilings in the kitchen or purple in a teenager’s nursery look too contrasting.
Repainted with your own hands
interiors of 90 years
Repainting furniture, floor and decor with your own hands is still welcome in some styles. These include shabby chic, Provence, sometimes-Scandinavian style, country and some other “provincial”.
But note that this repainting is most often done in an apartment without a new repair. And now such experiments are good mostly only in white, because now we know that bright creative impulses in interior design should be given to real artists.
Wardrobes with fabric curtains

It’s cheap and was once fashionable. Even more than that-in the Scandinavian style it is fashionable even now. But what we see in the photos is expensive designs with luxury fabrics, not just a desire to save money. Therefore, when we decide to implement such an idea on a small budget, we end up with a completely different result.
Glass tables and tables
Glass countertops were fashionable in the interiors of the 90s in the style of high-tech and constructivism. But then we all noticed a lot of disadvantages: they are easy to break, countertops are always cold, every contact with ceramics or metal glass unpleasant ringing, dust from the glass must be swept away constantly, as it is very noticeable. That is why glass countertops have gradually gone out of fashion.
MID-CENTURY MODERN: WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO “ASSEMBLE IT»
The past and the future are harmoniously combined in this interior style from the middle of the last century. How does it manage to look modern in 2019? Let’s take a closer look at mid-century and see how to recreate this environment on the basis of the Russian interior.
Bright accents on a white background

Constructivism, avant-garde, kitsch like bright accents on a white background, but as these styles went out of fashion, so it became unpopular and such design. Today, bright, evocative colors have been replaced by deep, exclusive shades such as malachite, Teal, Marsala, and other more complex ones.
